Chris Newton is the lead singer and lyricist of the Blackpool-based punk band, Dischord. He has co-written several novels, including the supernatural thriller ‘Convent Crescent’ with Zowie Swan and the cult dark comedy novels ‘Life Begins at 40’ and its’ sequel ‘Behind the Sofa’, with Mark Charlesworth.


His short stories have appeared in the ‘Shadows of Pendle’ and ‘The Crowvus Christmas Spirt’ anthologies. He also regularly writes articles and reviews for The Spooky Isles, the UK and Ireland’s leading depository off all things ghostly, and is the resident film critic for Eighth Day Magazine.


Chris has been obsessed all things supernatural ever since he was a boy. When people ask him why, he replies, “I’m from Witch County.”
