My name is Richard Santiago II and I have been a freelance artist for over 25 years, both full time and part time. My artwork has been published and featured some 66 times in books, newspapers, and magazines such as: Airbrush Action Magazine, The Source, XXL, VIBE, The Fader, Elemental Magazine, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Creative Loafing, Black Comix, Out of Sequence, and more.

Over the years my clients and customers, both past and present include: Coca-Cola, Sprite, Adidas, The Source Magazine, The Atlanta Arts Festival, Shady ltd, Krannert Art Museum & Kinkead Pavillian, The Epoch Times International, Fat Beats Record Stores, and more.

Currently, I am promoting my 2nd full length independent comic book called: Purely Fictional. Purely Fictional is a 24 page book completely written and Illustrated by me, Richard Santiago II. Purely Fictional was released on January 4th, 2020.

The story is about a comic book artist who is belittled and berated by his sadistic boss for years. He gets revenge by intentionally burning his place of employment to the ground. On the run from the Police, he seeks refuge at a friend’s house, only to discover they are not truly his friends because they secretly conspired to drug him with a powerful hallucinogen for their personal entertainment. He has to figure out the solution to his problems while under the influence and things get weird.
